You don’t have to go all the way to the Sahara to experience the Moroccan desert. South of Marrakech lies the Agafay
Desert, which is easily accessible from the city. Listen to your driver-guide tell you the history of the region while, across the
Haouz plain, the breathtaking mountains loom ever larger in the distance. As the sun sets and dusk sets, the bright stars of the desert are revealed. In the evening, you can enjoy freshly prepared classic dishes such as harira (spicy tomato soup), kefta,tajine (meatballs) or couscous, while experiencing the traditional Berber way of life.

Around 8 p.m., pick-up at the Riad, and in a typical Moroccan restaurant, an evening of tradition and local cuisine awaits you. Taste a variety of Moroccan specialties including salads, briouates (savory stuffed doughnuts) and a
choice of tagine (meatballs, lemon chicken, beef with prunes and lamb with vegetables), a flaky Moroccan
